Last spring my wife and I came back from a day of hiking at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge and decided to stop by Carpenter’s Bluff Bridge to see what the city has done to since closing the bridge. On our way out to the bridge we found an old barn near Denison, Texas surrounded by yellow wildflowers.
Old Barn Near Denison, Texas
I do not know much about this barn. It looks to be an older maybe built in the 1970s and 1980s. It could be older, and the owner covered it in metal to preserve it. I’ve driven by the old bridge a few times over the years, and it looks like it isn’t being used anymore. But you never know. I’d love to know more. But usually, these old barns are lost to history.
