Just on the edge of town, sits an old fast-food restaurant. It has the look of an old drive-in fast food joint where you ordered at the window and a car-hop brought out the food to your car. Over time it probably became a food pick-up window as well. This one was a family-owned restaurant called the Dairy Dart. Today, it sits unused but the building is maintained and waiting for someone to reopen the business.

The Old Dairy Dart

I haven’t found much history on the Dairy Dart. I have a ton of people on the various Facebook Groups local to the area mentioning fond memories of eating there with their families or as children. The place served from burgers and fries to Stake Finger Basket. And their soft-serve ice cream was also a favorite for most. I’ve seen several posts on Facebook people posting about their cravings for Dairy Dart.

I found a post that says the last health inspection was from 2009. I’m not sure of its age but it could have been built in the 70s/80s maybe earlier. As more information comes in I will update the article. If you know anything about this old Dairy Dart, please contact us.
